Enterprise Rent-a-Car should be ashamed of themselves, and also, for lack of understanding of the situation, they just gave me the worst customer service experience in my entire life.
Before disclosing this 'hidden hoop', they gave us a walk-through inspection of the vehicle, with guidelines involving possible damage. During this time, we thought we could obtain a rental, but we were sorely mistaken as they disclosed the 'hidden hoop.'

The Racine branch of Enterprise Rent-a-Car is the epitome of poor customer service and takes enjoyment in stringing customers along, putting them through frustrating hoops to jump through. When my Mother and I attempted to rent a car, we thought we could secure a rental, but the sales associate was the worst. Although I do not have a major credit card (I refuse to take on any credit card debt, for the sake of minimizing errors on my credit report, so therefore, I decided not to take on a credit card). With this in mind, the customer service associate wanted me to show two forms of identification, along with proof of insurance, and a $150 security deposit.
These people are terrific! Actually when I read some of the reviews it doesn't sound like the same place where I get prompt, excellent service. I consider myself a frequent renter, renting cars primarily on the weekends, for business and to attend out of state car races. Regardless of who waits on me I find them all to be cheerful, helpful, friendly, and makes you feel good about renting from them.
When my mother was willing to pay, they decided to add another charge for a second driver (I will be the primary driver) and suggested that my Mom drive the rental vehicle, with me driving my Mother's car.
As a person without a moving violation in a decade, and someone who is quite conscientious of taking on additional debt, I find this customer service experience reprehensible, disgusting and unacceptable.
Because of all the hoops we had to jump through, we left without a rental vehicle, all because of the frustrating, disorganized and poor customer service.
Service was excellent. Appreciated the call day before we flew out making sure everything was in order. Also when I extended it for a few more days very helpful in giving great information on how to save. Thank you for your great service.
The customer service associate absolutely failed miserably in gathering an understanding of the situation, and just when we thought we could get a rental vehicle, they told us of another 'hidden hoop' of having to have specific funds available on a major credit card.
I have never had to rent a vehicle locally but was very pleased with the friendliness and great customer service that I received from this location. I was picked up at my designated location on time, was greeted right away and brought to my vehicle upon arrival, and then I also received a phone call during my rental to make sure everything was going great. Neal did a great job and was very helpful in my rental process.
